September 2025 President’s Message
Dear NJAIHA Members,
As we reflect on the vibrant activities of the past few months, I am grateful for the enthusiasm and commitment of our members and organization. I am also very grateful for the opportunity
to serve as NJAIHA President for the year 2025-2026 and look forward to working with all of you as we move into the next operating year!
In March, NJAIHA held its traditional annual joint dinner meeting with the New Jersey Chapter of the American Society of Safety Professionals (NJAASP) and the Mid-Atlantic
Biological Safety Association (MABSA) at the L’Oreal facility in Clark, NJ. Please see the article with photos on this event sent in earlier e-mail.
In April, NJAIHA held its annual Past Presidents’ Night at the Somerville Elks Lodge 1068 in Bridgewater, NJ, an event at which the service of our Past Presidents is duly recognized and
honored. Please see the article with photos on this event sent in earlier e-mail.
In May, we paused our regular meetings as many members attended AIHA Connect Conference and Exposition in Kansas City, MO, which provided an enriching platform for
professional growth and collaboration.
In June, we celebrated Scholarship Awards Night, which was graciously sponsored by Phase Associates. As with other meetings, this event was held at the Somerville Elks Club in
Bridgewater, NJ, and was a highlight of our year. Look for details in this issue of the Examiner.
Our successful Summer Industrial Hygiene course offers members and non-members alike a valuable opportunity to enhance expertise. Additionally, for those seeking to earn additional
Continuing Education Units (CEUs), the AIHA eLearning subscription continues to provide accessible and robust resources to support professional development and is accessible free
of charge to all NJAIHA members in good standing.
NJAIHA remains committed to delivering high-quality programs, including our monthly meetings, the Northeast Industrial Hygiene Conference and Exposition (NEIHCE), and scholarship initiatives.
Thank you to our members for your continued support and active participation. Together we will build on the successes of the past and drive NJAIHA’s mission forward in the year ahead!
Best regards,
Barbara Woodhull
President, NJAIHA
