Topic: Fatigue Management Biomathematical Models & Tools
 
Speaker: Patrick Mulrooney
 
Mr. Mulrooney has more than 35 years of experience in the Industrial Hygiene and Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) arenas. He has been with the Lockheed Martin (LM) Corporation for the last 22 years, and is currently the Senior Staff Industrial Hygienist (IH) for LM’s Corporate – Environment, Safety, Health and Sustainability Department. In this role he shares enterprise-wide responsibility for IH programs in conjunction with Space; Aeronautics; Rotary Missions & Systems; and Missiles & Fire Control Business Areas (BA) leading IH managers and staff. He collaborates in the development, implementation, and direction of global IH programs to foster LM business activities to eliminate hazards to more than 114,000 employees at 390 facilities. During his time with LM, Patrick was also on the USEPA-Environmental Response Team’s Scientific, Engineering, Response and Analytical Services (SERAS) Contract which included operations related to 9-11 and and Hurricane Katrina.Patrick will speak on Fatigue Management Models and Tools used to assess and mitigate the occupational hazard of fatigue related impairment.

Topic: Assessment and Management of Mercury Catalyzed Gym Floors: Ten Lessons from Ten New Jersey School Districts
 
Speaker: Dr. Richard Lynch
 
Dr. Lynch holds a Ph.D. in Public Health with a minor in Epidemiology from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School/Rutgers University, a Master of Science in Industrial Hygiene from Temple University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Ecology from Rutgers University. He is Certified in the Comprehensive Practice of Industrial Hygiene by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene, and is a Council-Certified Microbial Consultant, and Council-Certified Microbial Remediation Supervisor by the American Council for Accredited Certification. He is also a Certified Healthcare Facility Manager by the American Society of Healthcare Engineers and the American Hospital Association. Dr. Lynch is also a NJ Department of Health Licensed Indoor Environmental Consultant and Fellow of the American Industrial Hygiene Association. He previously served as Assistant Professor of Industrial Hygiene and Public Health at Rutgers University. He has authored numerous scientific peer-reviewed articles on air quality, mold, ergonomics, and occupational/environmental illness in journals.
